Ballroom & Latin Dance Instructor & Coach
Marcus Arieta is a seasoned professional Ballroom and Latin dancer who has competed and performed along the East Coast. He is available for private coaching and choreography in all styles of Standard, Smooth, Rhythm, and Latin for adults and juniors. |
Marcus teaches all four styles of ballroom and Latin dancing and regularly competes in pro-am ballroom and Latin competitions throughout the United States. In 2006, Marcus was awarded Top Teacher at the Yankee Classic and Commonweatlh Classic. His students have placed with in the top the 3 in:
- 2004-2006 Boca Raton, Florida’s Dance Heat USA
- New Hampshire Seacoast Classic
- Commonwealth Classic, and
- Constitution State Challenge
- Yankee Classic
In addition to teaching at Studio 665, Marcus is involved in many community groups and events in New Hampshire and throughout New England, including:
- Dance 2 Enhance - Founder
- Latin Dance & Cultural Arts Optimist Club of Manchester - Vice President
Recently, Marcus choreographed an Argentine Tango piece for the Boston Ballet's "DeTour." He also performed at a Boston showcase for ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Most recently, Marcus was featured on MTV's "Made", as the "Made" head coach in a ballroom dance episode that aired in November 2006.
